Part of LBI Sportfishing and Charter LLC, the Outcast is a 2007 Hydra Sport repowered in 2019 with twin Suzuki 300s. The boat features new ray marine electronics, new outriggers, and a new Rhodan trolling motor in order to keep you anchored up on shipwrecks while bottom fishing and drifting. We offer everything you would need to enjoy your trip from cushions for cruises to all different types of new tackle and rods in order to catch fish from the back bays to the canyons!
On the Outcast, we are licensed to take up to six passengers and welcome you to bring your family and kids to enjoy the bays and oceans that Long Beach Island has to offer. Our fishing charters are very flexible in order to give you the best opportunity to catch fish. If you don’t want to go fishing, we also offer cruises around the bays and oceans to give you a chance to relax and enjoy your vacation.
Captain Jonathan Kelly spent his whole life growing up fishing in the LBI area and has had 10 years of experience in working with clients on charter boats. Captain Jonathan Kelly holds a OUPV Six Pack Captains license alongside multiple different safety certifications. Captain Kelly specializes in many different types of fishing with offshore tuna fishing and inshore striper fishing being his two favorites. Captain Kelly and crew will always do their best to make sure the charter remains happy and has a memorable experience on the water.
The Outcast is kept at two different locations on Long Beach Island depending on the time of year and with what types of fish are biting. In the spring to early fall (May to October) the Outcast is docked at Holgate Marina just south of Beach Haven in order to target blowfish, bluefish, fluke, seabass, tuna, mahi, and sharks. In the fall to winter months (November-January) the Outcast is kept in Lighthouse Marina in Barnegat Light on the north end of Long Beach Island in order to target striped bass, blackfish, and the occasional ghost bluefin tuna.
